Where Colour Settles is a collection of seven original watercolour paintings inspired by nature, water and the ever-changing movement of colour.
Created through layers of transparent watercolour, each painting explores the delicate balance between control and spontaneity, allowing pigment and water to flow, gather and settle naturally across the paper. Botanical forms emerge and dissolve, echoing the rhythms found in gardens, landscapes and shifting light.
Throughout this collection, I have been drawn to the quiet moments that often pass unnoticed: petals carried on the breeze, reflections on water, colours softened by distance and the gentle movement of leaves through changing seasons. Rather than depiciting specific places, these paintings capture impressions and memories of the natural world - moments of pause, observation and connection.
